The UK's no. 1 family history site with 9 million members is another really useful website. I have an annual subscription (currently £9.95) and the most useful feature of the site is the hot match facility that cross references names in your family tree with the 70 million registered names on the site. Again hopefully I might be able to extend the family tree. I have also imported my family tree to Genesreunited using the GEDCOM file available from this web site. For your peace of mind, no living relations are visible to others who reference the family tree through Genesreunited.

Genes Reunited was launched in 2003 as a sister-site to the Internet phenomenon Friends Reunited. Since then it has grown to become the UK's largest family history website. It marked a revolution in genealogy and ancestry by combining them with internet social-networking. Members become 'cyber detectives', building their family tree by posting it on the site and investigating which ancestors they share with other members.
